Swatches of the new Maybelline Eye Studio Molten shadows

It's still Winter break for me up until next week, so I thought I would pick up a few new products at Ulta and share them with you. I do take pictures with my Galaxy S5 phone so I do apologize for the quality. I have not tried these on yet, but I did swatch them below. I can only say that the shadows seem to glide on easily because they are so creamy and they remind me of the L'oreal Infallible individual eyeshadows, but they don't appear to be as pigmentes as the L'oreal Infallible ones. It took a few times to try to get enough color off of the pan and onto my hand so it could show up. However, I can't give an accurate opinion on these yet, but you can be the judge! Have you tried these? What do you think? The colors are so beautiful.

Outfit of the night

Each year that goes by gets just a little bit harder because each year I get a little bit closer towards my goals. I realized that each year will continue to be both physically and mentally demanding and more challenging than the previous year. It's up to us to make this challenging journey that we call life happy and  rewarding. I have had awful anxiety at times because of school and finals, and I am slowly learning to not let things get to me so much. Telling yourself not to get anxiety or worry too much about things isn't as easy as it sounds of course, but surrounding yourself with positive people and putting out nothing but positive vibes helps. It's crazy how one class can take a toll on your life. Buying new bags and shoes only makes you content for a hours, maybe days at most. But doing something for someone else is much more rewarding. As cliché as it sounds, its true, right? While I worry about the grade that I will get for Chemistry, someone else in the world is worrying about how he/she will feed their children. Although it's sad to think about the less fortunate and how we are unable to help every single person in need (but not impossible), sometimes we just need to keep these thoughts in mind and not be so hard on ourselves. Whatever is meant to be, will be meant to be. My new years resolution is to be a better human being in every sense possible to myself and to others. Sending out nothing but happy and positive vibes to everyone. Happy holidays and here is what I wore for Christmas.

Review and swatches of Makeup Revolution Iconic Palette; Dupe for Urban Decay's Naked

If you haven't already heard about the makeup brand based in London, Makeup Revolution, you definitely need to check it out. I stumbled upon it a few months ago and fell in love with their wide arrange of eyeshadow and face palettes. The best thing is that their products are inexpensive. The dupe for the Naked palette is called Iconic and costs $7.99. How great is that? Take a look at the pictures below and see for yourself how closely the colors resemble the Naked palette. Makeup Revolution also has similar dupes for the Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes, called Iconic 2, and Iconic 3. The wear of these is just as great as the real deal and the colors are pretty pigmented as well.

Quick Review and swatches of Physician's Formula Bronzer and Blushes

Physician's Formula products are usually available in certain drugstores. I picked mine up at CVS a while back when there was a buy one get one free sale. I don't remember the exact price for each of these but they cost about $7.99 to $14.99. I love taking avantage when there is a sale because for drugstore makeup, Physician's Formula is just a little bit pricier, but worth every penny. Most of their products are talc free and some of them usually claim to have some sort of organic or mineral ingrediets.    Although, the colors look very deep in the pictures and in person, the colors actually go on much lighter than they appear, which nice because if you don't have a light hand when applying these, you don't end up with too much product. Of course, the bronzers and blushes are buildable, they go on very soft and like I mentioned before, you don't have to worry too much about overdoing it with these.

If you are interested in checking out any of these products and similar ones by Physicians Formula check out Ulta's Physican's Formula selection here.

New Wet n Wild limited edition eyeshadows

These Wet n Wild eye shadows look better than I expected. My favorite is A Karat in the World; the colors are neutral, browns and golds with a high amount of shimmer. The Daring Downtown quad has very dark colors but the colors also have a high amount of shimmer. I love Wet n Wild eye shadows they are such a steal for the price!

Small Elf haul

School has kept me busier than I expected so far, but I did manage to place a small order on Elf last week. Everything was 50% off and my total was 33.25 including shipping ($8.00). I feel like I should have gotten more items, but I wasn't too intrigued with the other items, and I have purchased so much makeup in this year alone that I never get to use most of it because I always forget I have it.

I have been on the hunt for affordable highlighters, but unfortunately there aren't too many options available in most drugstores. A great aletnative for highlight is using an eyeshadow shade of your choice.

The face brushes were smaller than I expected, but I've had some Elf brushes for almost two years and they are pretty amazing. There is little no no shedding and the glue has never loosened from te brush handle from washing. They are also all super soft! They cost $3.00 but I purchased them for half off, so $1.50 for each, which is a true bargain.

Eyebrow kit in dark. I have tried this before when I was younger and on a strict budget and I loved it. I stopped using it because I grew more fond of eyebrow pencils, but now a days I use both an eyebrow pencil to define the lower part of my brows and a matte brown powder to fill it in. It's a little tricky to find a powder shade that is just the right color. Although the powder part (right side) does not look dark brown, it blends beautifully with medium to dark brows.

Blotting sheets and an under eye concealer & hilighter. I'm excited for the highlighter part. I picked up the color Fair. I swatched the highlighter on my hand (not pictured) and it went on white and blended out pretty clearless and only left behind very few specks of shimmer. I don't know how I would use this because I alway set my foundation with some type of powder, and am worried that the hilighter will be mattified with a powder, even if the powder is transluscent.

What are some of your favorite Elf products and how do you like to use them?

Review of It Cosmetics' My Sculpted Face contour palette

I tried this baby today and I am not too sure how I feel about it yet. The first color of the first row is a matte translucent face powder. I do love the second color of the top row as a highlight The first color of the second row has a peachy almost pink undertone which I personally don't like. For contouring I used the two bottom colors. The second color of the last row is pretty dark, and can look a bit odd on fair skin tones like mines if it is not blended out well. Hopefully I can play with this some time later this week so I can post a picture of my attempt at contouring with this. I will try! Other than foundation and brows, I don't really wear makeup to school, which I have 4 days a week. I usually only wear a full face of makeup to work but I never have enough time to take any pictures. What do you guys think of the colors?

New limited edition Wet n' Wild eyeshadows

I just picked these 3 eyeshadow palettes up at my local drugstore. They're limited edition so you might not be able to find them so easily. I will be swatching 34418 Smoke and Melrose, 34419 Melrose at night, and 34420 Angels in Aubergine. These colors are so pretty and smooth. What are your thoughts?

Review of new Sally Hansen miracle gel polish

Sally Hansen recently came out with these new gel nail polishes that claim to look and last just like a gel manicure from the salon. No lamp is required to activate these nail polishes. All you need to do is purchase the Sally Hansen miracle gel nail color polish of your choice and the Sally Hansen Miracle gel top coat.
Sally Hansen product description.
The ONLY TRUE 2-STEP GEL MANICURE with no light needed. Over 45 shades that wow! And it's only from Sally Hansen. Leading the revolution in gel technology.

Step 1: Apply 2 coats of Miracle Gel™ Color

Step 2: Apply 1 coat of Miracle Gel™ Top Coat

I applied two coats of the miracle gel polish in shade 170 (Pink Cadilaquer) and one coat of the miracle gel top coat. I would say that they can last 7 days with inimal chipping, but not 14 days like it claims to do. Each polish retails for $7.99-$9.99.
